FLEET CARE FAQS

You have questions about keeping your fleet running. We have the answers. Explore our frequently asked questions below to learn more about our processes, capabilities, and standards.

What types of commercial vehicles do you service?

At Elite Fleet Maintenance, we service a comprehensive range of commercial vehicles. This includes heavy-duty diesel trucks (Class 7 & 8), medium-duty box trucks, and light-duty delivery vans such as Mercedes Sprinters, Ford Transits, and Ram ProMasters. Whether you run a logistics company with 18-wheelers or a last-mile delivery fleet, we have the specialized bays and master technicians to handle it.

Do you offer customizable Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs?

Yes. We understand that no two fleets operate the same way. We design customized preventative maintenance schedules based on your specific duty cycles, mileage intervals, and OEM requirements. Our goal is to proactively replace wear items and service fluids before they result in costly roadside breakdowns.

Can you handle complex DPF, DEF, and emissions diagnostics?

Absolutely. Modern diesel engines are heavily reliant on complex computer systems and strict emissions controls. We utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic software to accurately read fault codes, perform forced regenerations, and repair failing Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) systems to keep you compliant and running efficiently.

Are your mechanics certified to perform Federal DOT Inspections?

Yes, keeping your fleet legal and safe is our priority. Our technicians are fully qualified to perform comprehensive Annual Federal DOT Inspections. We meticulously check brakes, steering, suspension, lighting, and coupling devices. If a vehicle fails, we provide an immediate estimate to correct the deficiencies in-house.

How do you communicate repair timelines and estimates?

We believe in total transparency. Once a vehicle arrives, our technicians perform a thorough diagnostic. We then provide a detailed, itemized estimate covering parts and labor. We do not proceed with any major repair work until we receive explicit authorization from your fleet manager. You will receive frequent updates so you can adjust your logistics accordingly.

How quickly can you get a broken-down vehicle back on the road?

Downtime is lost revenue. While repair times vary based on the severity of the issue, we prioritize commercial fleets over everything else. We maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers to ensure rapid delivery of necessary components, and our industrial workflow is designed to turn repairs around as efficiently as possible without compromising safety or quality.
